New York Part 1

Our very first day and first walk through Central Park. In the sunshine :)
Egyptian temple at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Sculptures at the Met.

My first find at Barnes and Noble. I wonder how many of these they sell.

Fox News at Time Square

The windswept look at Time Square.

This was the reporter's backdrop.

At a bistro in Little Italy.

Blowing in the wind at Ground Zero.

The remains of an appetizer.... No wonder Americans are fat and the developing world starving.

Huge salad, huge portions.

One of the perks of an expensive Park Avenue hotel; complimentary morning paper.

Wining and dining at a cosy indian restaurant.

...after a long day of sightseeing.

The super-sweet Bruaset sisters, as fresh as the day is long.

New York Part 2

A cosmopolitan at the end of an eventful day.
Three girls, three drinks.

Amazing Ane.

Matching pashminas.

Breakfast at our regular diner.

My last date with Ingvild; The Guggenheim Museum.

At the Chocolate Factory, before Tropic Thunder.

Hanna and the Giant Peach.

My first (and last) raspberries this year.

Brooklyn was our first and only trip away from Manhattan.
Grease monkey...?

Manhattan Skyline, right before sunset.

The Brooklyn Bridge.

Gang bang?

New York Part 3

Riverside Park, the green space which divided our crappy hotel from the Hudson.
His favourite breakfast: Chocolate Chip Pancakes.

Poached egg with spinach, feta and potatoes.

I went for a walk on my last day.

which was the only rainy day

through beautiful Central Park

Perhaps my favourite part of the park.

Carrie's neighbourhood.....?

At Keflavik. We figured this must be the most expensive bottle of water in the world, but that was before we watched the financial meltdown news.

Typically norwegian behaviour.
